The Edenfield House Murals
While it is not clear exactly how the Edenfield House ended up with 10 absolutely spectacular hand-painted wall murals, it is known that Federal Art Project artists were limited to no more than 30 paid hours per week. As a result, many FAP artists are known to have accepted entrepreneurial projects in their assigned area to make extra money not available within the FAP program guidelines. While all facts point to a date of 1938 for when the Edenfield House murals were painted, the actual artist's name remains a mystery.
